I think Tokka week is still happening? Or is it? . In any case, I'm definitely looking forward to a Maiko Week, but I think we should have it when it's all clear- we don't want it to clash with any others. I'm prettty sure Sukka Week is coming up very soon from what I've read around DA . And it'd be awesome to team up with / have them lead this so that we can really spread the Maiko love around and get loads of participants ^^

Over on the Mai/Zuko community at LiveJournal [link] there's currently a Mai/Zuko Fic Exchange going [link] And soon there will be a Mai/Zuko fanworkathon.
It's not exactly the same as all this [Ship] Week jazz as the way this works is that anyone and everyone submits prompts for a certain amount of time, then anyone and everyone does Mai/Zuko for those prompts, instead of a centralized list of prompts or whatever.
It has the same ultimate result, though: fanwork.
I run most of the Mai/Zuko activities on LJ, but I don't hang around DevArt much (at least not in terms of really participating with the community), but getting the Fanworkathon to crossover both LJ and DevArt would be pretty cool.
I turned into huge Tokka fan, but unfortunately Tokka week was 1-8, and I can't submit any art before 14 . I've also thought about cooperation with ~Under-the-Apple-Tree, to inform as many Maiko artists as possible. We should show the world we don't have any less power than Zutarians!

I'm not really a LJ person [I don't know why, though] so I don't know what's happening in the fanfiction world. It'd be awesome to team up and spread the word about Maiko Week at both DA and LJ! We could also post lists of works to each theme, so the fanfiction and the art can be appreciated equally by everyone <3

Same here! I'm a bit of a Tokka fan myself, but wasn't able to participate in Tokka Week this year either =/ And yes! We really ought to show the world just how dedicated we Maikoans are

But more planning is needed. I think I'll have to make a post feeling it out at the LJ comm.
Picking a time that's good for everyone is a big part of the success of something like this. I'm not sure when other such weeks will be.
